All molding processes are carefully monitored through in-process inspection and testing. All finished products must pass final inspection and testing before it can be released for sale. It is then date coded, packaged, electronically inventoried, and placed in the warehouse with a first-in first-out policy. ACT has been ISO-9002 registered since 1999 and recently acquired an upgrade to ISO-9001:2008 by the Quality Management Institute. ISO stands for "International Organization for Standardization," who developed the quality standard system approximately twenty-five years ago to develop and maintain consistent standards of quality and performance in manufacturing companies around the world. The complex process of preparing for ISO's upgrade audit required ACT managers and employees to spend more than one year analyzing every policy, procedure, work instruction, document, and specification in our operation, from raw material purchasing through manufacturing and servicing customers. All ACT employees are trained on the ISO-9001:2008 quality system requirements.
