ACT cable ties must meet stringent requirements for Tensile Strength, Insertion Force and Application, as defined in UL (1565), and CSA (C22.2) safety standards in both the U.S. and Canada, as well as U.S. Military (Mil-S-23190) standards.

Quality products require quality raw materials. ACT inspects all incoming raw materials to ensure that they meet our rigid standards. Our state-of-the art material handling system conditions the raw material to achieve a consistent temperature and humidity, and it filters out any foreign matter that may cause contamination. It then transports the material to the molding presses at precise times and conditions, ensuring consistently superior quality.

All molding processes are carefully monitored through in-process inspection and testing. All finished products must pass final inspection and testing before it can be released for sale. It is then date coded, packaged, electronically inventoried, and placed in the warehouse with a first-in first-out policy.

ACT has been ISO-9002 registered since 1999 and recently acquired an upgrade to ISO-9001:2000 by the Quality Management Institute. ISO stands for "International Organization for Standardization," who developed the quality standard system approximately twenty-five years ago to develop and maintain consistent standards of quality and performance in manufacturing companies around the world. The complex process of preparing for ISO's upgrade audit required ACT managers and employees to spend more than one year analyzing every policy, procedure, work instruction, document, and specification in our operation, from raw material purchasing through manufacturing and servicing customers. All ACT employees are trained on the ISO-9001:2000 quality system requirements. Being ISO-9001:2000 compliant helps us provide better products and services to our customers in a more efficient manner.
